PV-Anlage auf dem Schlosshotel Hellenstein in Heidenheim an der Brenz

Sustainability

A solar panel system has been installed on the roof of the Schlosshotel Hellenstein to supply the hotel’s own electricity needs.

The rooftop solar panel system, with an installed capacity of 219 kilowatt-peak, consists of a total of 516 modules manufactured by Trina Solar and generates approximately 199,900 kWh of electricity per year. Around 94 per cent of this PV electricity generated is used to meet the Schlosshotel Hellenstein’s own energy needs. Any surplus renewable energy is fed into the electricity grid. Compared with electricity generation at a conventional power station, this results in a calculated reduction in CO₂ emissions of around 208 tonnes per year.

With the installation of the new rooftop PV system, the Schlosshotel Hellenstein is making a conscious commitment to solar power generated on-site.
